Visa types I: visa you can only get outside of Thailand

Tourist Visa

Note: Until March 2011 all tourist visa are available for free.

Note2: You can obtain three tourist visa in a row around asia, but then have to leave the country for at least one year (or get a non immigration visa).

single, double, triple or multiple entries are available but not in every countries same regulations:

On a Tourist Visa you receive entry to the Kingdom of Thailand for 2 months which you can extent for another month at any Immigration office in Thailand. If you have more than one entry you must leave the kingdom to receive the next 2 month which you can extent again and so on. (the extension fee you pay at immigration office) some dificult countries can only extant for 7 days.

Required documents for the visa application:

Transit Visa

Single, double, triple or multiple entries are available. This Visa is for most countries not important because when you come to Thailand you automatically get a 30 day allowance.

Required documents for the visa application:

Non Immigrant – O Visa single double or multiple entries available

This Visa you can apply for if you are 50 Years old and can prove a pension or monthly income from outside Thailand ( Thai Bankbook would be the best ) Or you are married to an forager who holds a Non Immigrant B visa 0r you are the father of a Thai child. Every entire to Thailand you receive 3 Month and after that you must leave the Kingdom. Border bounce and receive another 3 Month (only for double or multiple entries)

Required documents for the visa application:

  • application form (filled in block letters)
  • 2 passport photographs (woman no spaghetti strap!)
  • 1 copy of passport (photo page)
  • certificate of marriage OR
  • Thai certificate of birth of your own child OR
  • (if you are 50 years or older and receive pension) certificate of pension (probably bank book with at least 400.000 Baht and money movements)

Non Immigrant – OA Visa single or multiple entries available

Only if you are over 50 Years and have a Thai Bank book with over 800.000,00 THB
or a yearly pension over that amount
This Visa is good for one Year and you to not have to exit but you must report every three month to your nearest Immigration Office

Non Immigrant ED Visa single, double or multiple entries available

This is an Education Visa for People the want to study in Thailand or make some special dive courses, or go for a practicum in the hotel industries.
Every entire to Thailand you receive 3 Month and after that you must leave the Kingdom
Border bounce and receive another 3 Month (only for double or multiple entries)

Non Immigrant – B Visa single double or multiple entries available

This Visa you can apply for if you you have your own company and want to work yourself in that Company
If you have a company witch employees you
Every entire to Thailand you receive 3 Month and after that you must leave the Kingdom
Porter bounce and receive another 3 Month (only for double or multiple entries)

Required documents for the visa application:

  • application form (filled in block letters)
  • 2 passport photographs (woman no spaghetti strap!)
  • 1 copy of passport (photo page)
  • company registration papers (certificates of foundation of the company)
  • contract (letter) of employment
  • evidence of tax payments of the company
  • for single entry: application form for the work permit OR
  • for multiple entry: copies of the first three double pages of your work permit

Visa types II: visa extension without exiting the Kingdom

You are over 50 Years old now it splits again money or pension or a combination of both

You have a Thai Bank Book with a saldo of 800.000,00 THB (3 month before and after application)
You have a pension witch converted to THB is a sum of 800.000,00 . This Pension must be verified by your embassy in Thailand. Also you must prove that you receive your money in Thailand from this Pension. (ATM)
You have a combination of Pension and money on a Thai Bankbook witch reaches THB 800.000,00

You are married to a Thai citizen Regulation a different for man or woman

Regulation a different for man or woman

If you are a man you must prove tax payment from an income of THB 40.000,00 either you or your wife.

For woman it is easier the need non since the husband is Thai and he is supposed to support you. Please ask at your local immigration office for documents needed

Non-B extension for one year without exit the Kingdom

  1. You are owner of a company you need to have a salary of THB 50.000,00 monthly plus 4 Thai employees
  2. You are employed by a company witch is not yours you also need to have an Salary of THB 50.000,00 and your employer must have 4 Thai employees for every foreigner working

Attention if you receive an 1 Year extension to your previous Non Immigrate Visa you must apply for a re entry Visa every time you want to leave Thailand if you to not apply and you come back to Thailand all you get is an 30 Day allowance to stay in Thailand
Also this only is for the working extension if you are employed by a third party if you stop working there you have 7 Days to get another Visa.
Don’t forget to return your Work permit after seven Days as well
